Review inspection capabilitiesSend a released STEP/STP model and PDF drawing if available, material, quantity, revision and destination. Flag missing details for review rather than guessing them.
Upload: STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, STL, DWG, DXF, PDF or ZIP · up to 5 files · 50 MB each · 150 MB total. Export X_T or native CAD to a supported format first.
Next: drawing and process review, then confirmation of price, inspection scope and timing. No date or tolerance is guaranteed before review.
VOGUC manufactures custom CNC milled parts in Dongguan, China, and plans each milling project around part geometry, datum strategy, material behavior, tolerance requirements and the inspection evidence agreed at quotation. Our 3, 4 and 5-axis capability supports simple plates, housings, brackets and complex multi-face components from MOQ 1.
PROCESS SELECTION
CNC milling is usually the practical choice for prismatic parts with flats, pockets, slots, hole patterns and multi-face features. The least complex route that can reliably meet the drawing should be selected.
BUYER DECISION MATRIX
Select the least complex milling strategy that gives the cutter access and feature relationships required by the drawing. A higher axis count can reduce transfers or improve access for a suitable part, but it does not automatically improve cost, tolerance or lead time.
| Machining strategy | Best fit | How the setup works | Buyer consideration |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-axis milling | Plates, brackets, housings, pockets, slots and hole patterns accessible from straightforward orientations | The cutter moves along three linear axes; additional faces may require controlled repositioning and a defined transfer datum | Show which faces and dimensions share a functional relationship so the supplier can judge whether separate setups remain practical |
| Indexed multi-axis milling | Multi-face or angled features that become accessible after rotary positioning without continuous rotary cutting | A rotary axis positions the workpiece, then remains fixed while the milling operation is completed | Useful when fewer manual transfers improve access or datum control; confirm workholding, collision clearance and inspection access from the drawing |
| Simultaneous 5-axis milling | Contoured surfaces, changing tool angles or geometry requiring coordinated linear and rotary motion | Linear and rotary axes move together during cutting to maintain the required tool orientation | Specify the functional surfaces, profile or positional requirements and acceptance method; do not request five-axis only as a purchasing label |

Manufacturing challengeCoaxial center bosses, multi-direction U-slots and deep-hole position control in a thin-wall frame.
Why it matters hereThin walls, multi-direction features and related bosses require a stable datum and setup plan.

Manufacturing challengeControlling stress distortion and vibration across long, lightweight ribs and narrow pockets.
Why it matters hereLong ribs and narrow pockets connect material removal, workholding, distortion control and the finishing sequence.

Manufacturing challengeMaintaining sealing-face flatness and parallelism while deburring intersecting deep oil passages.
Why it matters hereSealing faces, intersecting passages and internal burr control must be planned together rather than quoted as isolated features.

BUYER QUESTIONS
Direct answers for engineers and sourcing teams preparing a project review.
CNC milling removes material with a rotating cutting tool while the workpiece is held in a controlled setup. It is commonly used for prismatic parts with flats, pockets, slots, hole patterns and multi-face features; the drawing determines whether 3-axis, indexed multi-axis or simultaneous 5-axis milling is appropriate.
Send a STEP, STP, IGES or IGS model together with a controlled 2D drawing when tolerances, threads, finishes, GD&T or inspection notes matter. Also state the material, quantity and delivery requirement.
The listed maximum milling envelope is up to 1000 × 600 × 400 mm. Actual feasibility depends on part geometry, workholding, tool access, material, tolerance and the required machining route.
Critical dimensions can reach ±0.01 mm after drawing and process review. It is not a blanket tolerance for every feature; size, geometry, material, wall thickness, finish and measurement access must be evaluated.
The minimum order quantity is one piece. VOGUC reviews prototype, replacement-part and repeat-production requirements from the same drawing-led process.
